At Camp Electric, our mission is to ignite a passion in the next generation to use their God-given talents to love, lead, and serve others. We believe that music and creativity are powerful tools that, when placed in the hands of young artists, can make a lasting impact on the world around them.

Over 18 years ago, Camp Electric was born out of a dream shared by two lifelong friends. They envisioned a place where students could not only hone their skills but also learn directly from the very artists they admire—those they listen to, watch on stage, and follow on tour. It was never just about the music, but about creating a space where faith and creativity collide, where God is glorified not through polished perfection, but through humble hearts willing to serve.

We firmly believe that it’s not our talents that define us, but our willingness to use those gifts to serve others and point back to the Creator. At Camp Electric, we’re committed to fostering this mindset in every student we meet.

What we believe

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only, infallible, authoritative Word of God.

We believe that there is one God. He is the Creator of the Universe, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

We believe all human beings are born with a sinful nature, separated from God, and in need of a Savior. Salvation comes by faith in Jesus alone, through grace, and not on the basis of human works. All of the redeemed are secure in Christ forever.

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential and that He lives within every Christian. The Holy Spirit convicts of sin and empowers them for bold witness and effective service as they yield to Him.

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Camp Electric’s purpose is to provide the highest-quality music and creative camp experience. Period. We have brought in the very best musicians from top Christian bands to lead and instruct not only in music but also in ministry.

Our purpose is not just to entertain but rather to encourage students in their faith and engage them in their interests. At Camp Electric, we want to encourage and inspire students to be better musicians and followers of Jesus. As such, all programming, operations, housing, etc., follow these guidelines. Students will learn a great deal from the instructors each day, but should not expect to come home and play like a pro.

We want to equip students with the tools to develop better practice habits and their talents. Only practice will improve a performer or musician. Camp Electric is strictly an instructional camp. Students will not go home with a record deal or a list of contacts.

While they might learn about this aspect of the industry, they will not compete against other students, meet managers or agents, or perform in front of the camp. It is essential that each student comes with an eagerness to develop their talents and deepen their faith, and not a “what can these guys possibly teach ME?” attitude. Our goal is to help create an environment that develops Servants not Rockstars.
